This is a benefit concert for upgrades to the Phillip England Center for the Performing Arts. Come and enjoy a Labor Day weekend of great Jazz. The first annual Camp Verde Jazz Festival of world-class jazz musicians from a classic jazz quartet to big band jazz. The "intimate" 430-seat venue ensures excellent viewing and sound.

The Festival features two well-known Phoenix-based jazz groups. The opening performance will be by the Dom Moio Quartet. Drummer Dom Moio is currently a performing artist in various groups and is an instructor at Arizona State University (ASU). Starting his career in 1975, Dom has had the opportunity to play with jazz greats Don Doane, Clark Terry, Herb Pomeroy, Dave McKenna, and many others. Nick Manson is a talented jazz pianist and two time Emmy Award winner for his composing and arranging. Dwight Kilian on bass moved to Phoenix in 1998 and offers jazz bass instruction at Mesa Community College, Glendale Community College, Southwestern Christian College, and Arizona State University. He has performed with an impressive list of prominent jazz artists. Tenor saxophonist Andrew Gross had been in bands since 1995. He continued his jazz studies at the prestigious William-Paterson University in New Jersey and at the New School University in Manhattan where he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree. He then moved to Arizona to earn a master’s degree at ASU while actively working as a professional jazz musician....
