Born in Encino but based out of Monterey, saxophonist Gary Meek toured and recorded for over twenty years with Airto Moreira and Flora Purim. Hes also collaborated with artists such as Jeff Lorber, Brian Bromberg, Dave Weckl and many others. Meek has appeared on over 200 recordings and is celebrating last years release of Originals, a record of his own compositions. His Quintet on this date features Akili Bradley on trumpet and flugelhorn, Eddie Mendenhall on piano, Dan Robbins on bass, and Skylar Campbell on drums.
