Dr. Ed Calle Featuring Students From Fiu, Um, & Mdc- South Beach Jazz Festival at South Beach Jazz Festival at 1111 Lincoln Road Stage
The Second South Beach Jazz Festival will begin on Friday, January 5 for a weekend of classic, Latin, and New Orleans-style acts that will attract jazz fans to South Beach hotels, theaters, and restaurant seats. Over that weekend, open-air performances by local ensembles will draw Lincoln Road promenaders to linger, listen and groove. And even more significantly, the festival musicians will raise public awareness of persons who have disabilities.
Latin-Grammy Winner Dr. Ed Calle is the artistic director for that stage, premiering students from FIU, UM and Miami Dade College in different jazz ensembles
American Sign Language Interpreters will be provided at the Colony Theater event as well as at the stage on Lincoln Road and Euclid Ave. on Sunday, January 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If additional Interpreters are needed, please send your request to ASL@sobejazz.com.
