The Jazz Club: Jam Sessions at The Jazz Club @ Carnahan Hall

October marks the halfway point to Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM). Typically in April and in affiliation with the Smithsonian and National Museum of American History, we once again offer a month long series of JAM sessions to celebrate this uniquely American art form. JAM is intended to stimulate and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz - to study the music, attend concerts, listen to jazz on radio and recordings, read books about jazz, and more.

The sessions are ALL AGES! To accommodate our younger participants, the first hour of the jam sessions will give preference to the participation of those 18 and under. Our October house band is in the Organ Trio format, so we've have decided to feature the compositions of organist Larry Young....
