Drummer Anwar Marshall is a monster percussionist and one of Philadelphia’s busiest, in-demand and highly regarded percussionists. He has worked with Orrin Evans, Josh Lawrence, Joel Frahm, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Lauren Talese, Leela James, James Jamerson Jr., Adam Blackstone, Dave Douglas, Tom Harrell, The Captain Black Big Band, The Fresh Cut Orchestra (the group that he leads with Josh Lawrence & Jason Fraticelli), Dave Douglas & Tom Harrell, Willerm Delisfort and has performed in venues all over the Delaware Valley.

A quiet, soft spoken kind of person, Anwar can fade into the background easily. However, upon taking his seat behind the drum kit, the transformation occurs. No fangs. No horns.
