About

The Artie Shaw Orchestra remains one of the "swingingest" outfits around. Featuring director, clarinetist and saxophonist Matt Koza, the group hews to the Shaw legacy and continues with the time tested formula that has always pleased a full spectrum of fans of yesteryear to new jazz fans who want to imbibe in an exciting show of swing. NYC born Arthur Jacob Arshawsky was in the top echelon of soloists from the great swing era of 1935-45. Within a short time Artie Shaw made the hit record of “Begin The Beguine,” catapulting him into the ranks of top bandleaders and was immediately dubbed the new “King of Swing.” ASO were also known for renditions of "Frenesi" and "Stardust."
